As is known, the Dragon pickaxe is the
fastest and most powerful pickaxe in the game with a mining speed faster
than a Rune pickaxe orInferno adze. It requires 60 Attack to wield and
level 61 Mining to use. Dragon pickaxes were released with the quest
Forgiveness of a Chaos Dwarf on 9 September 2009. They are very rare
drops from Chaos dwogres, Chaos dwarf hand cnnoneers, and Chaos dwarves
on the Chaos Dwarf Battelfield after completion of the quest. The quest
does not need to be completed in order to use this item. The ring of
wealth does not affect the chance to get the pickaxe as drop.
The dragon pickaxe can be gilded by the
Liquid gold nymph after receiving the full golden mining suit, creating
the gilded dragon pickaxe. It is cosmetic and gives no more bonuses than
the regular pickaxe.
Though the Dragon pickaxe is powerful,
many RS players prefer the Rune Pickaxe or Inferno adze because of their
much lower prices. But the price of the Dragon pickaxe at RSmoney is
